mom and dad visted in october. we spent one day out at little river canyon…such a wonderful place

when i was home for a brief weekend visit last month, mom and aunt judy went with me to antique alley for some exploring.

a free show featuring dent may last night has secured a place in my heart for this group.

i have been enjoying the tiny desk concerts through npr.org.

i have an internet crush on raphael saadiq now. i really appreciate his style choices and pretty smile. the music isn’t the absolute best ever but really i’ve gotta be honest…i’m just really in love with the way these two fellas present themselves in this video.

one last “Sha-bang” with some of the ole ccoa crew. not everyone was able to make it but we had a good time. it was fun to see everyone again.

i went to houston to visit holly and her babychild.

on the way back from my cousin’s wedding in tyler, we stopped in shreveport to visit the norton museum. it’s a nice museum that i never knew existed. the grounds are pretty nice as well. it was hot (of course) so we didn’t last long out there but definitely have plans to return.

i am no longer an employee at ccoa. friday was my last day and i ended up working until 5 o’clock and being stressed out (as usual). our server went down and it was my last day so we bought ice cream and said our goodbyes. this is only part of the ccoa crew since some people leave early on fridays.

i sort of don’t know what to do with myself now that i don’t have all that stress in my life.

my niece, ava, got to stay over night with us. she is just over a month old and 100% adorable.
